Tourist visas require approximately 10 days to be processed. American citizens holding a valid American passport do not need a visa prior to travel to Israel.
Legal residents of the U.S. holding valid American Re-Entry Permits or Refugee travel documents must apply for a visa at the Consulate. Be advised that a "Green Card" is not a travel document. Tourist visas to Israel are issued up to 3-months stay with a single entry. Upon arrival to Israel, border control will stamp permit of entry and stay; usually for a period of three months. You must come to the Consulate in person and bring:
1. A visa application - completed and signed which can be filled out at the Consulate or downloaded here: Application for a Tourist Visa. If applicant is a minor under 18 years old, both parents must sign in front of the Consul or a public notary, included copy of the applicant birth certificate and a copy of both parents photo ID. 2. Two, 2'' by 2'', passport photos. Photos should be focused, frontal, with light background and eyes open. You must specify the applicant's name on back of photos. 3. $36 Payable in cash or credit card (visa or mastercard only). This includes $21 for visa and $15 for return shipping by UPS registered mail. 4. A passport / travel document valid for at least 6 months from date which you plan to visit Israel. 5. Proof that you are residing in the US legally such as your Green Card or visa. 6. Round-trip flight ticket or itinerary. 7. Letter from employer, stating you are currently employed. You must also bring pay stubs and proof of yearly income. 8. An original bank statement showing sufficient funds to support yourself during your stay in Israel (estimated at $100 per day, per person). If another party financially supports you, provide notarized letter stating they will support you financially along with their original bank statement 9. If purpose of travel is pleasure - provide hotel reservation or address where staying in Israel 10. If purpose of travel is business -provide letter from employer stating the duration of stay in Israel and letter from inviting party in Israel.
11. If traveling with organized group - letter from group stating trip paid. 12. A person arriving in Israel to visit family or friends must provide information including full name, accurate address, telephone number(s), relationship and Israeli Identification Number. Notice - In some cases you may need to provide additional information before the issuance of a visa. Minors Both parents must come in person with the applicant's birth certificate and both parents' photo ID. If the parents of the minor cannot come to the Consulate, they must sign affidavit in front of a notary public stating they give permission for their child to request a visa to Israel. If one of the parents is deceased you must bring original death certificate with to the Consualte. |
